Twice a year, Pipeline invites a group of independent theater companies to share its stage for an evening of original performances. With a keen understanding of the artistic, fiscal, and logistical complications that come with creating and performing original work, Pipeline strives to build a space in which this courageous endeavor can be celebrated. Collectively, the nights have included original pieces conceived by 26 playwrights, 24 directors, and 98 performers, and presented through dance, music, clowning, puppetry, monologues, spoken word, sketches, and scripted one acts.
